Giacomo Orsini
A third year bursary PhD student of the Department of Sociology of the University of Essex and a visting scholar at the Institute for European Studies of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His main academic interests concern European policy making - in particular EU migration and border policies or the Common Fishery Policy - and the effects of policies on the everyday life of marginal individuals and communities.
Lorenzo Sibiriu
Movie director, graduated from DAMS - Disciplines of the Arts, Music and Entertainment - Cinema of the University of Bologna in 2010. As a member of the Camera Obscura group, he has worked in shooting fiction shorts. In 2010 he collaborated in the shooting of the documentary Baz Baran (Again the Rain), focusing on the lives of second-generation Iranian immigrants in Italy. In between 2012 and 2014 he has worked as coproducer and co-director with Giacomo Orsini on the documentary Once The Sea Was Covered With Water: European Fisheries At The Edge.
